| On a sultry, overcast summer day, the northwest Illinois farmland reveals an interesting mix of technology infrastructure among the farmlands. Wind turbines in the distance, high-power electric transmission lines, and our favorite, the BNSF Mendota Subdivision mainline. The wooden bridge is closed to traffic but suitable for viewing trains just outside of Galva, IL, right on the Henry Co./Knox Co. line. |
